 Paul Pike is from the Mi'kmaq Nation on the island of Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland), in Canada. He has lived in Alaska since 1990 and is the main composer for Medicine Dream, combining the elements of rock, with the spirit of the Powwow. Medicine Dream has been able to launch a high quality, well uniformed sound that is unmistakably there own.

 Paul also has been the co-producer of both Medicine Dream recordings released by Canyon Records{Mawio'mi and Tomegan Gospem} as well as the Producer for their latest independently released cd "Learning To Fly". He also has done television and radio work, being the voice for Black Elk Leather Beads and Stones, Music Matters {supporting children to learn musical instruments in school} and was one of the original DJ's promoting local music on KNBA 90.3 FM Alaska's Native Voice in Anchorage Alaska.

 In addition to his musical career, he is a cultural educator, sharing Mi'kmaq culture and history, and is also a Substance Abuse Counselor, specializing in helping other's to improve their lives through the support of their own cultural and value systems. This is known as the Red Road Approach to wellness. On a more personal note, Paul and his wife Dee have three grown daughters, and five grandchildren.

 For Paul, there seems to be no greater joy than sharing the music of Medicine Dream with new faces, traveling to new places, and making friends that feel more like family.
